Mahindra to include electric models in cars and SUVs by 2013

Mahindra and Mahindra, the country's leading auto maker company which has a big market share in the Indian auto market due to its popular cars and SUVs has recently announced its newly launched Mahindra Genio range of pick-ups for global markets. Now the company will sale the Mahindra Genio range of pick-ups in international market. Already the company is selling its popular SUVs in the International market such as Mahindra Scorpio and Mahindar Xylo.

Now Mahindra and Mahindra has finally decided to dive in the electric/hybrid vehicle market and mulling over to launch electric models for its all exiting available popular cars and SUVs by year 2013. For it the company has started working on alternatives of the conventional fuels and electric technology. The auto giant seeks to make all these upcoming electric models of Mahindra cars and SUVs decent and value for money in the segment.

Mahindra and Mahindra has been auto player in this market and one of the first to take technological initiatives in favor of the environment. Already Mahindra has taken over Maini Motors which is the maker of electric car, REVA. Now the Mahindra is planning to launch an existing vehicle featuring an electric engine which would be decent and great performer in the segment. As per reliable sources, the company is going to launch the innovative electric vehicle within 3 to 6 months. Beside this, the company will also launch an electric scooter in the market by near future.

As per company reports, electric models will be launched for sedan Mahindra Verito, SUVs Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Bolero and MPVs Mahindra Xylo and upcoming entry level luxury SUV Mahindra XUV500. Already the company has showcased the Mahindra Scorpio Hybrid at 2008 Auto Expo. So now get ready see the electric models for all the popular Mahindra Vehicles which are expected decent as well as great performer.

To achieve good response to the Indian customers Mahindra has recently launched the facelifted version for its popular entry level SUV Mahindra Bolero in competitive price range while Mahindra XUV 500 has also been offered to the customers in competitive price range. With it, a compact version of Mahindra Verito will also be launched very soon.
