India's second largest passenger car maker Hyundai Motors India Ltd. has finally decided to enter in entry level small car segment with the launch of new car model Hyundai Eon in the Indian auto market. The all new Hyundai Eon launch is expected this month. The company has not announced yet exact launch date about the new baby but it will sure to be launched before upcoming this festival season. As per company sources it will be available in petrol engine version only.
Hyundai is launching this new small car- Hyundai Eon in India against Maruti Alto, Chevrolet Spark and upcoming Maruti Cervo. The company will put a fuel efficient 800cc petrol powerplant in the small car which will also be excellent performer in the segment. After launching new Hyundai Verna, It will be big launch by the auto giant in the Indian auto market while a new sedan Hyundia Avante is also in pipe line which will make its presence in the market on this festive season.
The new small car-Hyundai Eon will be younger sibling of Hyundai's most popular small cars Hyundai i10 and Hyundai Santro Xing. It is expected that the new small car will be highly sophisticated which ensure to attract the customers. The car is already running in overseas market with another name. With Hyundai Eon will be the cheapest Hyundai car available in India.
Hyundai Eon price for Indian auto market has not been announced yet but it will fall under expected price tag of Rs. 3 lakh. The is expected in the three to four version but there is no plan for diesel engined version of the car yet. The Indian version of this small car will also feature the new Fluidic design and it will borrow some features from Hyundai i10. With launch of this low cost car-Hyundai H800 the company trying enter in India's rural car market.
