Renault India, the country's fastest growing auto maker company, has recently displayed its another premium hatchback car model Renault Pulse. Beside the launch of Renault Modus, Renault India seeks to launch one more premium hatchback Renault Pulse in the Indian auto market very soon. Formula one drivers Mark Webber and Karun Chandhok have displayed the new Renault Pulse at the Indian Grand Prix in Noida on 29 October, 2011. Now the company is planing to launch the new premium hatchback at the New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 in January.
So far, the French auto maker has not made announcement about the Renault Pulse price but is expected to fall in the range of Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 6 lakh at ex-showroom Delhi. In this price range the will offer only variants of the car like RXV and RXZ which are the base and top-end variants. The number of Renault Pulse would be increase as per its performance. It is expected to take on India available popular hatchbacks like Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz, Skoda Fabia, Maruti Swift, Volkswagen Polo etc.
First of all Renault India will offer diesel model of Renault Pulse which comes powered with a well premiered 1.5L, K9K powerplant that is currently available in Nissan Micra. It is mated with a five speed manual transmission while the company may of an AT in top-end variant as optional. This powerful diesel heart of the car is capable of generating out maximum power of 65ps at 4000 rpm and a peak torque of 160nm at 2000 rpm. After some time, the company will also launch a petrol model of the car that will come powered with a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine. The expected Renault Pulse mileage is over 23 kmpl.
