Japan based Toyota Motors, one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the world, seems to capture Indian automotive sector in full circle, as the company is designing a new Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in the country. The exciting fact about the new vehicle is that it will be a compact SUV that will fall in the price bracket of INR 10 Lakhs to 12 Lakhs, as reported by a reliable source.
Toyota Motors is one of those companies that have scaled immense growth in recent years, as the firm has so much of variety to offer in every segment from luxury sedans Corolla Altis and Camry to premium SUV like Fortuner along with Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) Innova followed by the current trend of Etios range that consists of sedan and Liva hatchback; the reasonably priced vehicles with the trusted emblem of Toyota. Now, with the SUV coming in with this price range, it is sure to send shivers in the utility segment.
The mini SUV that’s under development will be based on the tweaked platform of Etios and will be proficient enough to provide threat to home based utility champs like Mahindra XUV500, Mahindra Scorpio, Tata Aria and Force One together with soon to be launched Tata Safari Merlin.
