Toyota and Chevrolet cars to see a price hike up to 2 per cent

Due to increasing input costs (row material costs), the Indian car makers are hiking car prices up to 2 per cent. Mahindra and Mahindra has already hiked the prices for its all vehicles from 1.5 to 2 per cent. And now India based another car makers are also mulling to over increase their car prices up to 2 per cent. In this way, Toyota Kirloskar Motors, which is going to launch the diesel model of popular hatchback Toyota Etios Liva and sedan Toyota Etios, will also hike its car prices from 1.5 to 2 per cent very soon.

Toyota Kirloskar Motors is reporting good response to the Indian customers due to its very well performer new car models. In the month of August this year total 2,816 units of Liva were sold while 2,708 units of Toyota Etios were sold. To achieve great effort to customers now the company is ready to launch the diesel model of these popular Toyota Etios Liva and Toyota Etios on September 9th this year. Now these both diesel model would be some costlier in Indian domestic market than their expected price range. But the company is expecting good business on this mass festive season of Diwali.

On the other hand, General Motors India will also review its car prices in this month. The company may hike India available Chevrolet car prices up to 2 per cent due to rising interest rates and vehicle costs. In the month of July this year the GM India has launched the diesel model of popular hatchback Chevrolet Beat in competitive price which now would sea price hike. How many per cent prices will be hiked for Chevrolet cars in India, it has not been disclosed yet.

On this mass festive season of Diwali plenty of new car models have recently been launched in the market like Toyota Etios Liva, Ford Fiesta, Chevrolet Beat diesel, Nissan Sunny, Audi A6, Tata Aria 4x2, Tata Indica Xeta, New Maruti Swift, New Volkswagen Jetta, Force One, BMW X3, New Honda Jazz, Honda Brio, Mahindra XUV 500 Renault Koleos, Toyota Etios Liva diesel.
